Ever heard of Nicolas Chauvin de Lafreniere? He was an important part of French history in the Louisiana territory. Coming soon is a historical fictional account about Nicolas who was the Attorney General of Louisiana & ringleader of the Louisiana Rebellion of 1768 written by a family member.
Just last week I was excited to find that Marie Marthe Chauvin was an ancestor. I’m looking forward to discovering more while we study the Geneology in NOLA over the next two weeks.
